How can you prevent it to sabotage your chances of growing your business to the next level?

Before you read further, I want to remind you that I am not writing this as a way to scare you in any way. Instead, I want you to “prevent” this happening to you in your business. This allows you to enjoy the fruit from your hard work for sure. 🙂

The next question is… “How can the dark side in Skype Marketing kill your business?” Well, it is very simple, really. In fact, 99% of the brand-new business owners have to experience this process in which they have to close the door the 1st year they started their business.

This is the reason why it is crucial for you to understand the “dark side” of Skype Marketing. This way, you can arm yourself early on in your business before it is too late for you to change the course.

What are the “Dark Side” I should be aware of?

As you are ready for it, let’s talk about each one of them one by one, okay?

Dark Side Secret #1: Being Too Nice to Everyone on Skype.

There is a saying… “Nice guys finish last”. Well, it is the same truth that “Nice business owners close their business, fast.” Now, I am not saying that you should be rude or anything. No, in fact, that’s not what you are supposed to do in your business.

Instead, what I am trying to say is… “You still have to be nice, but have clear boundaries on what you can or can’t do“. This allows your audience to understand that you only want to deal with paying customers. If they are not paying customers, they are not your priority. PERIOD.

Dark Side Secret #2: Answer Every Questions People Throw At You.

Now, unless you are answering sales questions, you are not obligated to answer any questions any Skype users throw to you. Why?

Well, your brain is your precious commodity. Your time is your precious asset. In other words, if people want to access to your brain, they need to invest. Otherwise, they are not your priority for sure.

Here is something else you need to know, okay?

The more you are trying to answers everybody’s question, the less likely they will invest in you. It also means that you look like a pebble in people’s eyes for sure. 🙂

Dark Side Secret #3: Making Exception to One Person is Like Opening A Can of Worm.

Let’s just say you have decided to be kind to one Skype users. You decided to tell him (Mr. A) everything you know about your business.

From your prospective, you feel that you have done something great to this person. On the contrary, the person that you tried to help will feel that there is no reason for him to implement everything you share with him.

Why is that? He gets it for free.

Now, here is the “dark side”: Mr. A told Mr. B that you helped him for free. All of sudden, you have whole bunch of freeloaders who will ask you for free advices without  paying for your services.

What happen next is… Instead of building your business where you will have Mr. A, Mr. B, Mr. C, and so on as your clients, you ended up wasting time helping others on Skype.

Dark Side Secret #4: Letting Your Skype Chat Group Members to Spam.

When you allow it to happen on an occasional basis, that will be the end of your Skype chat group. What do I mean by that?

Well, there are certain marketers who will not care about you. They will do whatever they want as they want to show others that they can overpower you. What they will do is… “Spamming your chat group with an offer“. You can call this type of individual an arrogant person.

In reality, this type of individual will sabotage your business for sure. The question is… “How do you deal with them?” Ban them from your chat group. This allows you to work with individual you enjoy working with.

Dark Side Secret #5: Some Competitors Will Bad Mouth You In The Public.

I don’t want to scare you, but it happens all the time especially in business. This is the reason why some business owners decided to close down their businesses.

Worse, some competitors will use Skype chat group as a way to attack other marketers where they will spread untrue rumors about you and your business. The question is… “How do you deal with them?”

Answer: Let Your Customers Speak For You.

Of course, if he or she is in your chat group, ban him or even block him from your contact. In addition, do not response to him at all. Why?

People are extremely smart. They know what is right and what is wrong. When you focus on providing your clients with the “result” they need, they will always come back for me. My point is… ” The more you focus on helping your clients to get the result they want for their business, the more people will want to do business with you“.

This is the reason why you need to focus on helping your clients as much as possible. When they get results from working with you, they will say “great” things about you while telling others to avoid marketers who bad mouth about your business. That’s all it takes. 🙂
