Well, every single time I mentioned to certain marketers there are hundreds of millions of users on Skype, especially newbie marketers, they have a tendency to start adding everyone and spam them. Well, not only will it destroy your chances to business, you and your business could be ban from Skype for sure.

This is the reason I have decided to include this chapter. This allows you to understand the power of Skype and how to avoid the disaster Skype marketing strategies that will bring destruction to your business. Let’s talk about what you shouldn’t do with Skype…

Mistake #1: Add every Skype user you feel will give you cash for your business.

Forget about the word “spam” in this case, okay? Instead, I want you to think in term of people who you are trying to add. Are they targeted? Are they all interested in your service?

Let’s just say that you are a weight loss consultant and you are trying to target people who are in the United States as you assumed everybody is overweight by adding everybody to your Skype contact. Guess what happen when you try to contact each one of them?

Answer: They block you on Skype. They will yell at you by spamming them. Worse, Skype may also report your website to spam assassination companies in which your domain name and IP address will be blacklisted. That will result in your business being shut down for sure.

Mistake #2: Added Non-Customers to Your Skype Contacts.

Some marketers feel that they should help out everyone. Many of them make a mistake by adding non-customers or could be just free subscribers to their Skype contacts info.

Why is this a big mistake?

Here is the question you need to ask yourself….”What is the reason you are in business?” Of course, it is to make money for sure. Unless you hire a support for your Skype where your clients can order your products with Skype especially if you are selling flowers and so on, chances are… “You are harming your chances to grow your business by having non-customers to add you on Skype.”

Mistake #3: Allow Non-Customers to Take Advantage of Your Knowledge.

This is a deadly mistake. Customers who break the boundaries will do so literately. Worse, some of the customers (who don’t pay for a certain service) will rudely want you to either help them UNTIL THE END (or) they will ask you for refunds.

The question is… “How do you deal with them?”

Well, in many cases, you only have two options:

  • Remind them that you don’t pay for the service, so you are just being kind (or) try to over deliver. However, if they keep pushing, answer them occasionally as your priority should be your paid customers.
  • Be straight forward to the customers that he need to upgrade to a premium package. — You can do this even if you have already given him some of your service for free as a way to provide him a customer satisfaction.

Mistake #5: Allow Customers Whom You Have Delivered  Your Service, to Keep Contacting You Without Investing More to Your Business.

Regardless, this is a bad move on your part. Remember, your time is your most precious commodity. It also means that when your clients have received what you have delivered, you need to ask them to higher level services.

This will help you in “TWO” different ways:

  • Receive more revenue for your business. — You can sell services such as: Unlimited access to you via Skype from Monday to Friday for $10,000 per year.
  • If the customers do not upgrade, you are able to free your time for new customers coming your way.

Mistake #6: Add Every Authority Figure In Your Niche and Start Asking Them For Their Time (or) Promoting Your Products.

This will be the worse move you could have in your venture. Why? You will be on a blacklist across some of the top experts in the industry.

How is this possible? Well, most of the top experts in the same industry have formed a syndicate with one another. It also means when you started to ask one top expert to do something for you for free or push them to promote your products, chances are… The whole “elite” neighborhood will most likely aware of you.

What does it mean for your business?

  • You are burning your bridges before you have even started.
  • You close your road to the top for sure.

How do you fix this situation? Invest in their services.

Of course, there are other mistakes you should avoid and as you understand the major mistakes I mentioned above, you should realize that the “short cut” the majority of the marketers use will lead into a huge nightmare in the long run for sure.
