Jay Boyer: Hey there everybody, Jay Boyer here from Internet Marketing “from Scratch.” If it sounds like I’ve got a cold today, I do. My kids are back to school, and of course, that means everybody gets sick in the house for a couple of days here. But we’re going to move forward here because I’m really excited about our new guest who will take our $100-a-day challenge. It’s Mr. Paul Counts. How are you, Paul?

Paul Counts: I’m good. I’m doing excellent. Thank you. Yeah, I’m very good.

Jay Boyer: Oh, fantastic.

Paul Counts: I’m glad to be here.

Paul, to create a $100-a-day income within 30 days simply just going with what you know now?

Paul Counts: Definitely, definitely, and I would just like to clarify, too, like can you have a little bit of money?

Jay Boyer: Yeah, yeah, and for sure.

Paul Counts: Okay.

Jay Boyer: I’ve been telling people $200-300 is a reasonable amount of money to get a business going online or for anything.

Paul Counts: Yeah, excellent. Oh, that’s perfect. Yeah, mine was a lot less.

Jay Boyer: So you can run with that.

Paul Counts: Oh, that’s good, okay, excellent. Yeah, I would say one of the biggest ways that I’ve found, I’ve started out, and I would have some great moments. I’ve been doing this for about eight years now, and I started when I was in high school. I’ve been making money in affiliate marketing for a while, and I would make sales here and there and never be very consistent. About

2-1/2 years ago, I really started focusing on list building, and that’s when my income really became consistent to where it was easy to get up to that level of $100 a day. So list building is so important to building the list and with private label rights, then you can really do that. So I’m going to talk a little bit of how I would use private label rights because I feel that’s so important for people. So me personally, I would zero in on building a list, if I were you.

Anybody out there listening, I would focus in on building the list. You hear it all the time, so the gurus know what they’re talking about when they say it. I’ve been there. I’ve seen it myself. I used to ignore them myself when I was starting out. Quite honestly, if you can focus in on your list building, the coolest thing is you can get started with list building for a buck with AWeber.

They’re the most popular service. I use them, most marketers use them. AWeber, for $1, you can get started for your first 30 days. That’s great. So I would really zero in on list building, so make sure that everything I’m about to tell you that you focus in on building the list, now that I’m going to focus in on, because you can actually leverage private label rights to build that list up for you.

So a few ideas that I would do is obviously you want to understand what niche market you want to go into. You want to make sure it is going to be a profitable niche and so I would look at any niche that you feel is very, very popular out there. Internet marketing is a great niche market. A lot of people want to know how to make money online. It’s somewhere where you want to have PLR to sell in that market, that’s great, too. But if you’re passionate about something else, whether it’s fitness or dog training or collecting trains or whatever market you might be into, try to research that market and get an amount of people interested in that. The site I would recommend going to and to check out if a market is going to be worthwhile, you can check out a site called www.dummies.com. That’s actually from the Dummies book series, those RJs like that Search Engine Optimization Dummies Guide, The Dog Training. You guys should know that stores…

Jay Boyer: Got you.

Paul Counts: Yeah, yeah, in fact, that site is actually a gold mine for researching niches because these guys, before they publish a book, it cost them a lot of money to go out there and publish a book and everything like that, and so they do the research, so it’s pretty much a given then that if there is a book found on Dummies.com that they put out there that it’s going to be a good niche market. Pretty much I tell people to use that as a reference guide if they’re struggling to find a niche market. Jay Boyer: I love that. I’ve never heard of that as a research tool for a niche market.

Paul Counts: Yeah, it’s very good, yeah, because as you think of it, they’re spending $5,000, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars because they print out tons of those books. They get them into bookstores and all that, so they have to do the research before they get them all published. Obviously, with a company like that, they’re not going to jump in just out of the blue. It’s not like an e-book where they do it for free. So yeah, I would look at that to find whatever niche market you’re in. In this example, I’m just going to say, and let’s say, you’re doing a guide, and let’s say you’re passionate about golf and you personally want to help people improve their golf game, so we’re going to use private label rights material related to people improving their golf game, for example.

Jay Boyer: Let me just jump in real quick, Paul. Would you define private label rights?

Paul Counts: Oh, yeah, yeah, definitely, yes, private label rights. Yeah, I got ahead of myself. Yeah, that’s right. Private label right, basically, is content that you have the right to edit, reuse and repurpose as your own. So it gives you the ability to take pre-written material or pre-recorded material for the video, for example. Basically, it gives you your own product that you can be expanding on the right to sell a different rights, but sometimes, they’ll let you submit the articles to article directories or the Web 2.0 sites to get traffic. Sometimes, they’ll let you take the content and just sell it. Others will let you take the e- book and give it away to those in your list, and so there are multiple different rights or different product label rights, but all of them, and the great thing about all of them is their rights are renamed private label rights as your own.

So basically, it puts you in the position as an expert, and I find that when my income became consistent, when I was up to that $100-a-day level and then now beyond that point, it was the biggest starter. It was when I really focused on my list building, and when I have my own products, so private label rights gives you an instant product.  So no matter what niche market, there is a good chance you’re going to find PLR materials as private label rights is referred to, so yes, that is what it is.

Jay Boyer: Got it.

Paul Counts: So with this example, I’m going to just let you guys know what I would do if I had nothing going on like Jay was saying, but maybe I have anywhere from $100-200 that I could invest in my business, because really you need to be able to invest in that, and that’s not asking too much. Obviously, we all know it because if you’re getting into any kind of business, it’s going to cost you some money. Honestly, a $100-200 is the kind of the range I’ll be in to make this happen, so we’re going to go with the golf market. We’re just going to pretend that you’re in the golf market. Obviously, you can apply, if you’re in the fitness or if you’re in the dog training, if you’re into whatever market you might be into. Again, this even could apply if you want a joint venture in order to make money online realm as well. Any other market that you feel is hot, so you can apply that to yourself, but I’m just going to say golfing.

So if you’re passionate about golf and you want to teach people how to improve their golf game, which is a great niche market you have to know, so if you want to venture into the golf market, then the first thing you want to start with is something that you can give away to list build. So obviously, you need to have AWeber in order to list build, so you want to sign up with an account at AWeber. The great thing about AWeber is it’s a dollar for the first month, and then it’s

$19.95 a month after that or in that range depending on how many subscribers you have. So that would be the most important thing, get signed up with AWeber, so I would do that and get signed up with AWeber. Then what I would do is find a private label rights material related to golf, to the golf market. So you have your AWeber, then you wan to look for private label rights material related to golfing. A great site that I use to find some really good PLR stuff in almost any kind of niche market is a site out there called theplrstore.com. It’s a great site. It’s not my site. Its somebody else has put it out there. It is set up online as a regular shopping cart. You shop and then it just emails you the downloads, but there is great material on there for anything. You’ll find private label rights articles. You’ll find a variety of all sorts of stuff with private label rights, so it’s really kind of a PLR gold mine if you kind of just buy a la carte. You’re not forced in to buying PLR that maybe you won’t use as an example.

Jay Boyer: It’s like a big package or something like that.

Paul Counts: What’s that?

Jay Boyer: It’s like a big package that includes lots of different PLR from the same niche.

Paul Counts: Yeah, definitely, definitely, yeah. In fact, basically, with this store you can pick, and I’ll go in there sometimes and if I need PLR in weight loss or whatever, so I’m going to find that one looks good, that one looks good. So yes, the main thing I would do is go to that site and look for a report or a set of five to ten articles, which should be no problem to find in the golf market or the most hot niche markets are going to be in there, and so the reason you want to do that is you want to have something that you can give away to build up that list because like you said if you don’t have that list, it’s going to be very difficult to make that $100 a day. So yes, definitely go out there and look at building that list up, and so look for a report in there. So I would find a report or something related to your market and invests in that and downloads it.

Typically, the average product on there is anywhere from $5-10, so we’re not talking of big investment there for what you need, so look for something that you think looks like it’s going to be pretty good. Sometimes, on very rare cases when you get something that isn’t as great as it looks, but hey, you only add of a couple of dollars, so you can buy another one.

Jay Boyer: Right.

Paul Counts: I don’t think I’ve ever had anything to worry about two things that were bad on there, but even the stuff that was not all that great was still usable. You still can get the content you could give away, so definitely look, and also coming with like an e-cover already done. I would look for a report first, and if you can’t find that, look for a series of articles because you can combine those to generate a report for yourself, so that you can list build, so that’s where I would start. It’s to get your AWeber, then you go out there, you get your report, your private label rights report, and then after you download that, then you go through the editing phase after you’ve downloaded that. The basics of editing is you want to make the PLR thing look kind of like it’s your own almost. You don’t have to do this, especially if you’re not 100% familiar on how to do this, but you can just change out the title of it, name it something different, different from what it is. In fact, 90% of the people that get PLR don’t even change the name, and so if you change the name, it’s going to look that much more unique. Change the name and put your name as the author. That can give you that expert status, and then go through the report anywhere.

Sometimes in the report, they actually have backlink, links going into affiliate offers related to golf, and if they don’t have links going in there, then that’s where you could go in there and put like a resource section and put links to various ClickBank products that might be related to golfing or dog training or whatever market you’re into, so you can kind of have a resource guide of ClickBank links, for example. So that’s something you have to do and to make sure you add affiliate links to this report because that’s another way that you can get some side income going as well from people who get that. So definitely focus in on that part of it.

Do some quick editing on it, and you can actually go out there, and if you want to change the e-cover, that would be advisable. You can actually change like an e-cover for around $20-30 by outsourcing it. There you can get a very quick turn around, so right now if you do that, then you add to like $21 you’re up to now, $1 for AWeber for the first 30 days and then you add up $20-30 for an e-cover, so not tons of money so far.

Jay Boyer: Right.

Paul Counts: You can go out to www.odesk.com. It’s a site where I find I get the best outsourcing work done for the best value I feel. You can outsource your work. You just post your project on there. It’s a great website to use, so you go out to oDesk, and say, “Hey, I need a new e-cover or something like that.” And they’ll shoot you back one of those 3-D digital e-covers in very short amount of time. It won’t cost you much money, so you definitely get that made. While you’re waiting on getting that made so that it’s got your own look and feel to it and things like that, so it looks unique, then you wan to start building up your squeeze page and you want to go out there. For those who are listening, the squeeze page, I’m sure if you’re on this call, you’re probably had witnessed a squeeze page at some point as you sign on somebody else’s list. It’s basically a one-page website where the main goal is to squeeze information out of somebody’s name and email. You’ve probably seen those.

It’s got the red headline with bullet points on it. In fact, if you guys go to one of my sites where you can actually get a free PLR material, it’s plrcounts.com, and that’s a very basic squeeze page that I use. That thing converts very well, and that is the squeeze page that I use and you can actually just go up there, get files, save as and save that to your computer as a template. It’s probably the best way I could think of, Jay, to give them that template.

Jay Boyer: Oh, great.

Paul Counts: So you can just go out there, file save as on that thing. It’s a very basic squeeze page, but that thing converts. It converts very well for me anywhere from 40-50%, so you guys can definitely use that. That squeeze page is very plain, nothing fancy, but you have a template to go from, it will be really easy to generate your squeeze page. You don’t have use that template, there are other squeeze page templates out there. You can just Google them, but you want to get a squeeze page to get it. The main things you want to have on your squeeze page is your list building. You want to have your call to action, your headline, so you make sure you have your topnotch headline, so basically talking about why they should download this report or grab their attention, “Are you tired of struggling on the golf course, are you tired of dog not getting what trying to train them, or whatever it is, are you tire of not making money online.” You want to do something that would draw their attention in to read further.

Then you want to have some bullet points on that squeeze page that maybe highlights a few of the things that they’re going to find in that report, and that could be done because obviously you’ve gone through report a little bit, so you know a few of the topics that report covers.

The report doesn’t have to be an exhaustive research. You want to have it to have some decent content, but it doesn’t need to have top-level content, because that’s where you can sell them on additional courses. It’s more or less to get their appetite whet, to give something in content just to get the ball rolling, and then you can give them the real meat and potatoes through an affiliate offer. That’s where you can make your income. So when you’re doing that, just put in the bullet points and basically highlight four to five things that they’re going to learn from this. You’ll see on that template. As I mentioned there are bullet points here where I would put those in, and there is just going to be a little spot where you plug in your AWeber code to get people to sign up for your list. There will also be a spot on there where I’ve got a picture of an e- cover where you can actually just put in your e-cover on there or put a picture of an e-cover on whatever squeeze page template you use, but at least get that squeeze page ready, and then when you get your e-cover back, you can just put that right in there, and you’re pretty much ready to go.

The next thing after that point is you’ve got your AWeber set up, you’ve got your report purchased, the PLR, and then at this point, you should have your squeeze page created using a template or whatnot, and then the next thing you need to do is you need a domain name. You definitely need a domain name. You can get them between $9 and $12. It keep going up in price and fluctuating back. I use GoDaddy personally. There is also www.namecheap.com. It’s a good site. Personally, I just use GoDaddy because I’ve always used them, so it’s not like there is nobody else out there, so GoDaddy or NameCheap, either one of those are very reliable, and there are many others out there too, but you want to get a domain name that’s related to your market.

What I would recommend to help you maximize your possibility of getting a higher search in your ranking or at least have a simple and clean looking domain, but you can go out there and look at the Google AdWords keyword tools. Just go to Google and type in AdWords keyword tool, and you should see something called AdWords keyword tool external or something like that, and if you can’t find what I’m saying, put the word external at the end and you’ll get Google’s free keyword tool. That’s going to enable you to research your niche market a little bit more. It’s going to help you like find how much traffic per month certain keyword phrases are getting in your market as it relates to whatever niche market you’re trying to build your list in, so that you can get that $100-a-day income. So you want to make sure you go out there and focus in on that. So I would do some keyword research and you want to come up with maybe five to ten keywords that you feel that do a good job at describing whatever market you’re into that also have a little bit of search volume behind it because you can use that as your domain name when you’re brainstorming a domain idea because if you have your keyword phrase in the domain, it’s going to increase your chances drastically of actually ranking in the search engines. It’s going to give you a huge boost in the search engines. It’s just going to be good because you want to have your squeeze page set up, so that you can generate some good traffic with some search engines to build your list long term. Try to get a keyword phrase that will fit.

If you’re struggling to find a good keyword phrase, then just go with something generic that’s kind of get the point across of your niche market, but start with the keyword tool, if you can, because if you can get a keyword-rich domain, you’re going to be much better off actually in the long run, so that something, and I’m just going to say, well, it doesn’t have to easy for people to remember and type in. It actually really doesn’t because the way that you’re going to be getting traffic is going to be from a link from another site. I mean, you’ll be doing link from even YouTube. There is this spot ring putting your links when you spit a video that all talk about it. There will be articles where you have your resource box. There will be Web 2.0 sites where you link back. There will be all sorts of different places that are just going to link directly and so people aren’t going to need to remember what your domain name is. Don’t get caught up and think, “Well, I need a real short domain.” I mean, obviously, you don’t want it to be huge, but don’t freak out if it’s not two words, it can be three or four words because domains nowadays everybody has the good ones anyway, so get a good domain name. So the point now, we’ve got your AWeber set. You’ve got your report as you’re going to begin list building from ThePLRStore.com. You can find one there or even just go to Google, type in golf PLR or type in dog training PLR, weight loss PLR, fitness PLR, and you get the idea. You can Google any kind of PLR material you might be looking for. I find them all through Google or The PLR Store. Then you want to make sure you get your squeeze page going using the template I mentioned at PLRcounts.com, and then after that, then you want to go out there and get your domain name.

Then the next thing you need is web hosting. You need to make sure you have a web host, so that you can actually store the files that they’re going download, so you actually host the files. With many, you have a listing priority if you have hosting. For those that are just starting out, I would recommend HostGator.

It’s a great starting hosting company, HostGator or Bluehost, either one of those are outstanding. Personally, I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I still and I have literally have tons of videos and tons and contents that my customers and people that get into my programs are downloading, and I never have had any need to use anybody else but Bluehost or HostGator, so I’ve never had a need to have an expensive web host.

Don’t get fooled into thinking you need to an expensive web host. I pay $7 a month for my hosting, so it’s a very inexpensive. With HostGator, I could spend at the $9.95 option, so it does not cost you that much to have your web hosting, so definitely, definitely look in to that because that’s going to be well worth it. So get your hosting set up and then you’ll want to go through the process after you get your hosting set up and after you’ve gotten your e-cover back from oDesk, start getting squeeze page loaded up and all. Obviously, you need to add some audio, but I can’t go much into that part of thing, but I’m sure Jay can give you guys advise on that as far as uploading it. Your web hosting company is really good about helping to upload that as well. In fact, HostGator and Bluehost have 24-hour support and then great tutorials, so it’s another reason I like them to people starting out.

So you want to get your files all set up and uploaded on there. You’ll need to have a Thank You page set up, and that could just be a blank page that just says in bold font that says, “Hey, thanks for downloading this.” And I forgot to mention one other resource you can actually use. When you’re actually out there creating the squeeze page or using the template I provided, you’ll need an HTML editor to do this, and so a great free HTML editor that is just like Dreamweaver and that’s very similar from FrontPage, either ones that you see that you can buy, this one is free and it’s called KompoZer and it works with the Mac and MPC, and it’s called www.KompoZer.net.

Jay Boyer: That’s a great tool. Thanks for mentioning that, Paul. Yeah, it is just free like you say.

Paul Counts: Yeah, it is absolutely free. Yeah, that’s a phenomenal tool. In fact, I use that. I have a successful Internet business and I don’t have a paid HTML thing, so don’t think that it’s less. It works out dandy. I think it does a great job, and then another tool you’ll need in order to upload your files a lot easier is called FileZilla, and FileZilla is a free FTP program. It basically lets you get the files you’re working on from your computer to web host, so that’s called FileZilla and that’s another great free too, and again it works on a Mac or PC so it works great on both. You see, you definitely will want to look at those tools as well to help you get this done. So then you want to make sure to have your PLR, everything uploaded, so let’s just assume that you’re at a spot where your squeeze is live, make sure you’ve gotten AWeber and you set up your form and you set up that list. In fact, AWeber is good. With this being out there, obviously we can’t go into tons of details, but AWeber, again they have great tutorials, so leverage all these great tutorials on these sites because they really give you good advice. It’s not a cop out or anything. It’s really the true facts to get some great information that you can follow through and then they make it very simple when you’re starting out now.

So definitely use their advice to set up your first list. Grab the code and put it on your website. If you really are having a hard time getting that set up, you can go right back onto oDesk and say, “Hey, I need to get this code that I’ve got from AWeber. I need to have this installed,” and I guarantee you’ll find somebody for $20-30 again on that that could actually install your squeeze page for you. I mean, so right there you’re looking at an extra $20-30, which is not bad to get your squeeze page set up. I mean, it’s very well under $100 so far, probably like that. I think around $70 or something. So I want to get you a budget around a 100 to 200, so we still got room to wiggle, too.

Jay Boyer: Yeah, we’re doing good price-wise.

Paul Counts: Yeah, it is very inexpensive. Yeah, and you’re getting a lot done.

Jay Boyer: Yeah.

Paul Counts: That’s what I like about oDesk because you get a lot for your money, and even if you have to outsource it a few tasks because you’re brand new, it’s not going to break your bank, so that’s going to be well worth it. So the next thing that I would do is we’re going to assume now that your squeeze page is all set up. You’ve got your domain. You’ve got everything set up, so you know the link to your website and you know how you’re going to get traffic, so basically you have something set up where you can list build. So now, we need to get traffic going into that, so that we can build up that list, because without building up that list, obviously, we don’t have anybody to send an email to. So what you really want to make sure you have to happen is you want to focus in on building up that list as much as you can. So the main thing you want to do is focus on driving all the traffic you can into that squeeze page.

One of the great things you can do with having just squeeze page, literally I run a very successful business and now, I’ve just pretty much focus in on three or four different squeeze pages that I have, and that’s really what I focus on, just funneling traffic to those squeeze pages because I know that by getting people on my list, I can make money with them later on with follow-up email marketing in any niche market, so that what I would encourage you to do is funnel all the traffic you can to that list.

So my great ideas for getting traffic would be leveraging PLR. In fact, that’s why I would recommend you get multiple sources of PLR from The PLR Store or wherever else. You might want to find like 10-20 good PLR articles, so 10-20 good PLR articles related to your market. Buy them, or oftentimes, you can find them for free. You can just type in free golf PLR, free weight loss PLR, and you can actually find some that way, too, but you want to get some additional content on top of just the report you have because you want to use that to build traffic. So I’m going to give you an idea, like let’s say you find ten articles on golf, I’m going to give you an idea to where you can take ten articles and turn it into about a hundred different exposures on the Internet to which you’re going to be outstanding for. I’m going to show you how you can take one article, and take that one article and get it into ten different places or different sources and then you can get the idea on how to do the other ten, and you’ll see how over time that can actually translate into quite a bit of traffic for you overall.

What you want to do here is go out and take an article that you’ve invested in or something, and you want to edit it slightly. The main way you can edit a PLR article to make it look slightly unique is to go in there and combine it with two PLR articles, or better yet, if you actually downloaded another PRL report or even take the one that you bought, if you don’t want to buy another one and it’s always they give you the rights, too. Most of them do give you the right with PLR content to actually just like take any of the content in there and use that in articles, too. But with a lot of people, if they use it with articles, it ends up being unique because everybody uses it different. Does that make sense?

Jay Boyer: Sure. Paul Counts: Yeah, so it seems like everybody is like if you have a 100-page book, somebody is going to pull a different set of content. It’s always going to be slightly different to where they pull it from, so it’s cool because you don’t have to spend as much time rewriting it and all this kind of stuff, but you can. The main thing I would do with any PRL article is change the title, so it’s unique to you, change the opening paragraph and change the closing paragraph and then in the middle paragraph, maybe combine it with another article. Quite quickly you can have that part done, and I’m going to mention oDesk one more time. In fact, I’ve actually had somebody who wrote unique articles for me for

$3 an article on oDesk and with completely unique articles, $3 a piece. He’s a great article writer and I found him on oDesk by just telling them what I’m willing to pay. I realize that real quick when I’m doing any outsourcing is to tell people what you’re willing to pay and more likely you’ll find someone.

But, yeah, so with oDesk, what I would do is to have somebody rewrite the PLR. In fact, when you have somebody to rewrite the PLR, you can typically get that done for around a $1 to $1.50 per article, so we are talking really inexpensive, and this is only if you want to do that. So there you’ve got another $10-20, so it’s not horribly bad to get some unique content that you can leverage. So we’re going to talk about just using one of these articles that you’ve created, so one piece of information. I’m going to give you some ways to generate a lot of traffic from one piece of information. The first thing you want to do with that one piece of content is submit to a couple of article directories. But when you’re using PLR content, you want to be careful about using Ezine Articles, which is what a lot of people first tell you to use. Just because they’re very persnickety about ii, they want super-unique content. They’re very picky on that front, so if you are going to use them, I would recommend that you have fresh content that’s been rewritten honestly, so I’m saying they’re bad or anything. It’s just they take a long time to approve you now anyways, but they are good to use, but make sure you’re going to be using unique content that’s unique to you because they will come back at you. We’re just going to ignore them right now, and so that’s in case you’re wondering why I’m not mentioning them.

A great article site we’ll start with is called www.ArticlesBase.com, and in my honest opinion, I find them up high in the search engines and I know several other marketers know that this as well. The ArticlesBase.com actually seems to get as much, if not better results oftentimes then Ezine Articles. And they’re not strict. They approve you in about 24-48 hours, very, very quick. They don’t mind if you use PLR content as long as it looks unique and things like that. They don’t mind the title, and that’s why I recommend you rewrite the title. When you are rewriting the titles and doing anything with your PLR material, it’s very, very important that you’re focusing on using keyword phrases, which is why you definitely want to use the AdWords keyword tool, so you use good keyword phrases in the title of those articles. What’s great about it is when you use the AdWords keyword tool, you can find 10 to 20 or hundreds of keyword phrases that relate to your niche, and every single one of those could be a separate article topic or taking the PLR you have and kind of convert it, so it works with those keywords because you want to focus in on keywords that are getting you traffic within your niche market.

Back to the article process, so as you’re doing the articles, submit it to ArticlesBase.com, an outstanding website. You want to look at a site called www.IdeaMarketers.com. It’s another excellent site. So it’s ArticlesBase.com and IdeaMarketers.com, and then another good one is www.ArticleDashboard.com and then a fourth one that’s really good is www.GoArticles.com. So you’ve got four really good article directories that you can submit to right there. When you do submit an article, there is going to be an option of having an author resource box, and that’s where you get your traffic from. So in the author resource box, you want to make sure that you highlight the fact that people can get a free report on improving their golf game or improving their dog training or improving their relationships or whatever niche you’re in, or getting more in shape or whatever it is. Make sure they know they’re can get a free report by going to and provide a link to your squeeze page website. It’s that website we set up before, that squeeze page.

Because that’s where you’re going to get the bulk of your traffic, so you want to submit to these article sites. There are those four article sites. That’s four places that you now have exposure online, so you want to do that. The next thing you want to do is with your squeeze page URL, you want to go out there to a social bookmarking site and basically do a little bit of backlink with social bookmarking. So social bookmarking basically, their sites are like www.Digg.com. It is sites where people are sharing information on them, and you can actually go out to www.OnlyWire.com, and it’s a free resource. They also have a paid option. The paid option is $36 a year. I think $2.99 a month or something, but the free option is really easy because all you have to do is insert a little piece of code onto your website and for free, they will let you use their service, and their service basically lets you get like 20-30 sites at once.

So it’s an outstanding opportunity. You definitely are going to want to look at OnlyWire.com a great deal, and you just need to set up accounts at these social bookmarking sites one time and then you can actually push a button and once you push that button, your content is submitted to 15-30 sites at a click of a button. It’s really cool and it just get it out to these websites. So what I’d recommend you do is that every time you do a new article, bookmark one of those articles and then as you do a different article, maybe bookmark that’s on GoArticles.

Then the next time you do an article, go ahead and submit that to ArticlesBase.com the next time just kind of mix things up a little bit and get it a different article. You don’t want to bookmark the exact same content on those multiple sites. You just want to do like one submission per article that you have out there, but every time you do that, you’re going to be getting yourself 20-30 exposures, which should be great because you’re just basically sharing good information that’s going to generate traffic to those actual pages, so that’s OnlyWire. That’s a very, very powerful tool you definitely want to leverage, so definitely, definitely look at OnlyWire. At first too, you can also do a bookmark on your squeeze page as well, just to start getting some traffic flowing into your squeeze page, so you’ve got your articles, you’ve got your social bookmarking, and between those things right there, you can get yourself a fair amount of traffic rolling.

When you’re asked for the submission of social bookmarking, it’s going to ask you for a title of the submission, and for the title, you just want to use the keywords that you’re really focusing in on for that particular piece of content. You want to focus in on those keywords when you do that. So the next thing you want to do to get traffic is you want to create a short little video. In this part, before you freak out, this part is actually much easier than you think to do a video. In fact, it’s extremely simple and you can actually use a couple of free tools to make this happen. There is a free tool that will do a screen capture video for you called CamStudio and there is also another one out there called Jing, and both of those are free. Both of those are absolutely free and they’ll get the job done for what I’m about to tell you, so those tools are free. Then you’ll need to either have Microsoft PowerPoint or you can have OpenOffice, which is actually a free version of Microsoft Office, but it’s not created by Microsoft. It’s got a free version of Microsoft Word and all these different tools. It’s a great tool. It’s called OpenOffice, so all these tools, KompoZer, FileZilla, OpenOffice and Jing, those are all free, so you’re not out of pocket on those things.

OpenOffice, basically they have a version of PowerPoint on there, so you can actually use PowerPoint and take one of those articles and break it down into bullet points and into like a PowerPoint format. You can just use a blank presentation. That’s all I do. A white presentation background with a black font, create some bullet points and it can be two- or three-page PowerPoint slides, which is easy to do with one piece of content. Your opening slides would be like the title of the content. You have two little slides in the middle with bullet points and you have the closing slide, which provides a link to your website or something like that at the end, and that’s a good thing to do. So you’ve got your closing slide there at the very end and what you’re going to do after you create your PowerPoint is you want to run the presentation and then use either one of those free screen capture tools to actually record your video, so it’s really simple actually to do that. I mean, if you can point and click your mouse you can actually record yourself a short little video. All you’re doing then is just reading the content on that screen there. You’re just going through to create a video giving people a little bit of information about your niche and you’re just creating a short video. When you’re doing that, what you’re going to want to focus in though is you want to give them some short information with some good content from the article, and you can use that. You’ll need a microphone to do that. In fact, if you’re using a laptop, most laptops come equipped with a microphone preinstalled. You don’t even need to go out and buy a microphone. In fact, the microphone I use on my computer comes out great. I’ve actually invested in one because I do a lot of videos, but you can invest in a great USB microphone from Logitech and it will run you about $39. You can get in on Amazon or Best Buy or anything like that, Staples, Wal-Mart, any office supply store. So it’s a USB headset. You need to look at getting it if you want to do a lot of videos or if you have like a desktop that maybe doesn’t have a microphone built in, so definitely look into that as well. You definitely want to get one of those if you don’t have a microphone. Obviously, if you have a microphone, you don’t need to worry so much about that.

So you basically record it then stop the recording when you’re done on the last slide, and when you get people their call to action, “Hey, for a free report on this topic, check out this website.” Now, you’re actually ready to upload this video that you’ve just created to multiple video sites. Right here, with one piece of content, we’ve got it out there on four article sites. We’ve got it there on let’s just say tentatively 10-15 social bookmarking sites, so there are 14 exposures with that one article. Now, we’re going to upload it to two different video sites and what you can do is go out to YouTube.com and create an account. Now, if you already have a Gmail account, it should be pretty easy to set up with YouTube. It’s very simple to do. If you don’t, that’s fine. So go out to YouTube and set up your account with YouTube. It’s going to be really easy to go through that process. You just want to go in there on YouTube and upload your video. They make it very, very simple.

As you submit your video, they’re going to ask you for a title or a headline for your video. The title is going to be your keyword phrase, so that’s what it’s going to be. So the title is going to be your keyword phrase that you’re trying to focus in on and it would be the title of your video. Whatever title you used for your article, you can use that title when you submit your video, and then it’s going to ask you for a description. Now, this part is really important. When you do your description with YouTube, put in your link, so go http:// yourdomain.com, and then you want just put in your sentence or two of the content, so YourDomain.com and then sentence or two of information. Just go ahead and plug that in there with a sentence or two of basically what the video is about and you can even take the opening sentence from your article if you want. It doesn’t really matter. You just put that right in there in the description and try to include your main keyword like if you’re saying cure golf slice. You’ll say, “Hey, learn how to cure golf slice with this article.” But the reason you want to put your links first is because YouTube will make that hyperlinked, so as they’re watching the video, if they look down below the description part, they’re going to see a link to go to your squeeze page and so that’s very powerful for you so you’ve got your video on YouTube.

Well, once your video is on YouTube, you can actually bookmark your video, even though it’s the same piece of content because it’s now a video, it’s no longer an article. So now, we’re looking at close to ten social bookmarks every time you do it, but it’s usually more. That’s 20-24 when you’re YouTube, so 25 submissions for one piece of content. And there is another video site you could submit too called www.Revver.com, and you can also go to Google and type in video hosting sites, if you want, so that’s still from taking one private label rights article. So imagine if you have 10 or 20 of them with the impact you can do on your traffic, all targeting different keyword phrases and things like that.

Now, there are four additional sites that I’m going to tell you because I’m going to square this up to where there are nice 30 places you’re submitting each one of these articles. You can also take your articles and submit them to several websites out there. One is called www.Squidoo.com. It’s a great website that you can actually submit your content to. You basically build a page. It’s called a lens. It’s got your content on there and you can bookmark that page in one of your bookmarks just to kind of get it some links going. Then you can also go out to www.Weebly.com, and actually create one. Weebly.com is another good source. Those two are really, really good websites. Another good one you can go to is www.HubPages.com. With HubPages, you just need to be careful. Before you submit to them, you want to do some work on your article to make it more unique like you may even need to change the title around a little bit. You might need to combine it with another article to really make it unique from Squidoo and stuff because maybe they’ll check on that, but they’re a very powerful website, so there is another one right there that you can leverage. And then I’ll also recommend that you get like a Twitter account actually set up for your business name with a Twitter account. The great thing about Twitter is you can get followers and stuff like that. For my experience, I haven’t gotten tons of traffic straight from Twitter, but what I love about Twitter is actually does a good job of indexing your links, meaning they get picked up by the search engines really quickly. So every time you go out there and submit a piece of content, you can actually post it on Twitter, “Hey, check out my new video upload, check out this article I’ve put on Squidoo.” With things like that, they can help the search engines find that content, which is going to be great for you.

Throughout this process, as you’re submitting articles to Squidoo and different places like that, you can actually interlink them too, like from Squidoo, you can do a link to another article you’ll do eventually on HubPages. So through all this, you’re getting about 30 different submissions for just one article that you’ve got, so let’s say you take ten articles and you do this process with ten PLR articles on the golf niche, that’s going to be 300 exposures, all keyword- rich, targeting your squeeze page, which over time would build up and get you some traffic.

So one other thing that I would focus on is get involved in a forum with your niche. I know it’s an old way of marketing, but I’m telling you forums still work. I still use forum marketing with niches I go after and you get great traffic, not from posting links as you type in, but you want to have links in your description, so you don’t want to obviously in there self-promoting. That will get you banned, but it does a great job. If you can go in on there and put in there and put in your information as related to that market, answer questions, ask question. Start a thread by asking a question or whatever it is, but have a signature line at the bottom that links right to your squeeze page with that free report. Getting involved in there, doing a couple of posts a day or three or four posts a day or whatever, eventually over time, you’re going to get to a spot where you’re getting enough traffic to where you can just build more traffic and you’ll see that your list starting to grow. Obviously, once your list starts to grow, that’s at a level now where you can promote affiliate offers.

On the back end, you can find products on ClickBank. Eventually, you could go out there and do kind of like what Jay is doing here, interviewing experts on your market and create a product to sell to your list and now you’ve got your own product as well. Or you can find another private label rights product, make it into a course that you can sell your list for $7 to $37 or whatever and get to a point where over time your income is going to grow to $100 a day. The main thing is focus on getting a squeeze page and building a list and driving all that traffic that you can to a squeeze page using the methods I taught or using any traffic method that you might know as well, so did that help, Jay?

Jay Boyer: Oh, my gosh. For sure I love the nuts and bolts approach that you brought to this call here, Paul. I love all those resources that you mentioned and most of them free.

Paul Counts: Yeah, Jay.

Jay Boyer: The fact that this is something that’s doable within a 30-day window of time, they’re very doable, in fact.

Paul Counts: Yeah. It is definitely.

Jay Boyer: I think this is really a realistic way to meet the $100-a-day challenge. It’s fantastic information, Paul. I really thank you so much for coming out and sharing this, and the promotion plan that Paul described is powerful, some would say old school, but that’s the way to do it. I mean, if you want to create tons of links in a short amount of time, just follow the system that Paul just laid out for you and that’s the way to go.

Paul Counts: Well, yeah, definitely it is, and it still works today. Honestly, I think you will only spend $70-80, so if you wanted to budget $200 and spend another 120, I guarantee you for that much, you could find somebody that would do everything I just said, especially since it’s very simple because they’re just taking one article. You can spend your other $120 if you want and have somebody do it all for you, then you don’t have to worry about it.

Jay Boyer: Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, you could outsource everything that you just described.

Paul Counts: Yeah, luckily.

Jay Boyer: And putting the money right back into your business in months, too, and go onto another project. It’s fantastic. Thank you so much. Thanks for the great information. If people wanted to find out more about you, Paul, and what you do, where would you send them? Paul Counts: I would definitely send them to go to IMGuruPLR.com. It’s a collection of private label rights materials that I’ve put together in the Internet marketing work from home niche, which as you know is huge as well. Come to that. It’s freshly created. I know, Jay, I think you might be a customer.

Jay Boyer: Yeah.

Paul Counts: Yeah, I’ve got a lot of PLR videos and content in there, so that’s a good site. You can check me out. If you’re not interested in that offer, just click off the page and there is an exit window where you can get a free PLR video course that you can work with as well, so yes, that’s a great spot to go, IMGuruPLR.com, but I’m glad I could provide some content for this.

Jay Boyer: Yeah, fantastic. Thank you. Thanks again, Paul. I’ll put that link next to this interview on the post on the website and I’m going to keep my transcriptionist busy with all the links that you mentioned to all these resources you mentioned in the interview itself. So check out there and definitely download that transcription, it’s going to have all those links hyperlinked and you guys can just click through to all the resources that Paul talked about in the call. And thanks again, Paul. I sure appreciate I, and I’ll talk to you soon.

Thanks, buddy. Paul Counts: Okay, it sounds good. Thank you.

Jay Boyer: Bye-bye.

Paul Counts: All right, bye.
