When it comes to the topic of “Internet Marketing” many people believe it’s not actually possible to start a business and make money entirely online.
Ironically, 10 years ago, it was actually easier to start a business online and drive HORDES of traffic to really any offer, even affiliate offers or pages that WEREN’T even owned by you. That was back in the hayday of SEO and spam, but that’s an entirely different topic entirely.
Anyway, sometimes people think that you have to possess some sort of special technical abilities or all kinds of experience to be a successful online marketer.
The crazy thing is: you really don’t. You just need to use some common sense and be innovative in your approaches.
Even though it may seem daunting and you may not know where to start, in this article I’m going to discuss a number of reasons WHY anybody, even YOU, can start making money online with Internet marketing.
The First Step Is Already Done
The fact that you’re reading through this article right now means you possess either one of the following two things (or both):
- Computer or Laptop
- Internet Connection
That’s the very first step of starting off in Internet marketing. You just need to have enough access to an a connection to the web each day that you can invest some time towards making things work and checking up on progress.
There are even stories on many of the online marketing forums of people chronicling their day by day journey’s where they go from using a computer and Internet in a coffee shop, all the way to owning a laptop and high speed internet in their apartment.
Anything is possible if you are willing to do some trial and error, not get discouraged, and be creative with your approach and your product(s).
Most Times, There’s No Starting Costs or Fees
A lot of times you’ll see an offer or get rich quick scheme that sounds like it’s going to be free only for the web page or video to reveal to you some huge four figure webinar or coaching mastermind.
The thing is, you don’t need any of that to get started or make any money online.
Most of the affiliate marketing and promotion platforms require no initial deposit or payment to start promoting offers on the network. This means that you can sign up for an account and start posting your affiliate link and sharing it, gather some sales and start building your list of buyers (more on that at another time).

Do a little keyword research (it’s easier than you think), and just mark your tags, title, and description accordingly. Then watch the traffic come in on auto-pilot. Rinse, and repeat.
Additionally, you can use social networks like Twitter to create posts with traffic generating hashtags. Start replying, favoriting, and following other users that are relevant to the product you’re offer or promoting, and tweet out links on your account. Watch the traffic start flowing in regularly.
Combine methods that you find yield results, duplicate them and scale them up and watch the earning increase again and again. It sounds too good to be true but it’s really that easy once you get the hang of it and find the winning methods.
There’s countless methods for generating free traffic. You’re probably even a pro at using them. You just have to be innovative and put some effort into it.
You Can Work From Anywhere, Even Home
Yeah, yeah, we’ve all heard it before. Working from home is the goal and the dream for most people, isn’t it? Well, I guess not having to work at all might be ideal in some cases – but let’s be realistic here. 😉
When it comes to Internet marketing, as mentioned in the forum story I told earlier about the individual who didn’t even have a computer or an Internet connection – you can seriously work from anywhere. Just figure out how to make it work for you and around your schedule.
Don’t necessarily quit your job tomorrow (or today) because you want to start making money online. But rather, invest some free time, an hour or so a day to learning new methods and trying new things with online marketing.
Eventually you find the working strategies and you can scale them up and expand the offers that you promote. That’s when you can quit your job (if you have one), and start working full time on making money online – entirely for yourself.
You CAN truly be your own boss, set your own schedule, and work from ANYWHERE you’d like – but you have to be willing to put the time and effort in to start it all. Like anything, it does take time, effort, and accepting failed attempts.

It may seem difficult, but I promise you that it’s really not. It’s all so simple that you’ll even be telling your friends that they can be doing it too.
The Market Is Always Expanding (New Chances Daily)
If you’ve ever heard of the phrase “something is saturated” when speaking about a marketing, that’s referring to the opportunity to make a profit regarding that “something” is very minimal.
When it comes to the Internet and online marketing, you have to think that your demographic’s actual location is the entire world. You’re not just limited to a local area or a store front, unless that’s your business plan (working with local clients).
A lot of businesses have trouble thriving (and had trouble) when the market went largely digital at the turn of the 2000’s (end of 90’s). This is due in part to the inability and the cost of moving their stock and business digital or even just expanding in that direction.
The great thing about Internet marketing is that everyday there are new people joining and looking for products. Every single day, seriously!
Obviously some markets and niches will be smaller than others, but there’s always a potential out there. You just have to do some market research and figure out who and what you’re selling to and if anybody else is doing it.
The possibilities are always expanding and growing, and whenever new things happen and current events (pop culture) happens, you can see a surge in certain market profit potential.
Basically what I’m saying is that your pool of potential leads and customers is endless, so you don’t have to worry about hitting a wall. And you can always expand it necessary.
There’s No Starting Requirements At All
It doesn’t matter how old or how young you are, where you live, or what your background entails. You can start making money online regardless of anything.
You don’t need to have any money to start, as discussed earlier. You don’t need to have a fancy computer or tons of technical knowledge (to an extent). All that you have to do is find your calling and charge at it full force.
That’s what makes “Internet Marketing” so brilliant. You’ll see individuals from all over the world, all different backgrounds, all different stories. There’s no boundaries or barriers stop any of us from making a living when it comes to the Internet and working for ourselves.
The only thing stopping you is yourself (and maybe needing to do a tiny bit of learning first, but still).
